Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is acting as a mediator between the warring parties, announced that the United States and Iran have agreed on a long-awaited decision to sign a peace deal, effectively ending a war that has caused the world great loss.
Shehbaz Sharif said that “both sides have declared a complete and complete cessation of military operations on all sides of the conflict, including in Lebanon.”
The official signing ceremony of the agreement will be held on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.
The Pakistani leader said, “We thank the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their willingness and commitment to find a diplomatic solution to this conflict. We also express our sincere gratitude to our brothers who participated in this coordination, especially the Supreme Leadership of the State of Qatar, for their support in achieving this agreement.” He added, “We also express our special gratitude to the visionary leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey for their significant role in this process.”
